QUALITY CONTROL

Original artwork and fine art prints are sold unframed as works on paper, with a 10 mm white paper bleed border. The bleed will assist with framing, by creating a neat overlap between the matt board, and the artwork. (The matt acts as a decorative border and is what separates the glass from the artwork). For preservation, I advise artwork to be stored flat, inside an acid-free archival cellophane sleeve; or professionally framed with acid-free archival materials.

Watercolour paper is stretched before painting, to ensure finished artwork will appear flat when dry. Artwork may appear to have a slight cockle in the paper, which is normal for watercolour paper reacting to humidity.

For light fastness, permanence, and colour brilliance, I only use the finest artist-quality materials, including Daniel Smith watercolour paints, made in America, Winsor & Newton gouache, made in England, and traditional Sennelier inks, made in France.

I create my work on Arches 300g 100% cotton paper, made in France. Under the international paper maker standard ISO 9706, this paper is acid-free, mould resistant, and will not yellow over time.

Fine art prints are locally made in Perth, Western Australia with archival pigment ink on acid-free 310gsm Canson® fine art cotton rag paper. Pigment ink is much more resistant to fading than dye-based ink and will return results which are regularly quoted as being good for the next 75 – 100 years. Canson® paper meets the ISO 9706 standard for paper permanence to meet museum longevity requirements. To fully replicate the original art, images are scanned at a high resolution of 1200 full optical pixels per inch and colour corrected. I only release short run limited edition prints, therefore no further prints will be re-issued once sold.

Greetings cards are designed by Jessie Spring. Greeting cards and envelopes are supplied and printed in Melbourne, Victoria Australia with quality 350gsm FSC Friendly paper, 100% recyclable.
