“During August 2022 I was fortunate to travel through the Pilbara & Kimberley Regions of Northern Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The bird life up north way is incredible! This painting is a study of all the beautiful feathers I collected along the way. To replicate the barred patterns and earthy hues, I mixed mostly Daniel Smith Primatek watercolour pigments, made from refined rock minerals. This painting is very special to me as it captures memories in time. I can remember each moment and place where the feathers were found.”
